You are awesome! I’ll ask one final question….I just imported my MPEG file into DVD architect and it doesn’t recognize the chapter markers. It shows just one chapter. I was hoping for a scene selection menu. I did render with the markers to be included in the MPEG file, does the MPEG-2 format recognize the markers or should I render to another format?

Thanks! Would you recommend choosing a constant rate of 6,000,000, or using a smaller max. I don’t know much about this but am trying to learn. Also, my file rendered to 3.2 GB in 4 hours.

Thank you very much, I didn’t realize. Could you also expand on your “track headers” comment and recommend an MPEG-2 format? Is the default template okay?

    Thanks,

I’ve uploaded the VEG file to my website. This link should prompt you to download the file.

    Thanks,

Thanks, I’m still a newbie using forums, how can I post my VEG file in a message (like this) for you to see?

    Thanks,

Firstly thanks for all of your willingness to help,

By “seeing” the VEG file do you mean it’s size (174 Kb)? If not could you please explain more? I am currently running no other applications with this computer, only the rendering. Though, I am rendering the MPEG-2 back to the Maxtor external drive that the project files are on.

    Again thanks for all help!

Hi….I’m at only 32% and have been rendering 11 hours.

Nope, no 3D, no heavy effects or anything. I’ve only taken bits and pieces from two video tracks and put them into one (like switching camera angles). Other than that it is simple crossfades between video clips and audio envelopes.

If I’m rendering as MPEG 2 for use in DVD Architect, could you recomend some more efficient settings? Maybe I’ve selected something incorrectly that is taking a long time. Maybe wrong preferences? I don’t know, but 2.5 hour is a lot better than the 36 hours this in going to take.

    Thanks again,
    Jason
