Rendering 1 hour and 20 min video..time?
Hi, this is my first attempt and rendering a video that’s 1 hour and 20 minutes in length. It is our churches Christmas play I’m putting on DVD. I’ve used Vegas 5.0d to import and edit the project from DV camcorder, and now I want to render the final copy (for use in DVD Architect) as MPEG-2. I’m using a Dell Inspiron 6000 notebook with Pentium M 2GHz processor, 1GB of ram, and the project to be rendered is on a Maxtor 250GB external drive. While editing my computer has been very fast and efficient. I have also deleted any unnecessary video/audio from the project. The project is pieced together of 2 video tracks and 4 audio tracks used intermitently.
My computer has been rendering for 1.5 hours (3% complete) and the “time remaining” has max’d out at 23+ hours and restarted counting atleast 3 times. Is this normal?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Jason
