DVD Architect MPEG Templates
Hi, I understand that if I render using a DVD Architect MPEG template that I can avoid recompression upon importing into DVD Architect. I also understand that I have to render the video and audio separately.
Upon adding each file to DVD Architect, how does it know to link the audio and video together as it were one presentation? Ugh, what am I missing?

I did some digging and finally got. Sorry I almost wasted anyone’s time.

No problem at all. For anyone else with this problem, it’s just a matter of making sure the MPEG2 file does not contain an audio stream and the MPEG2 and AC3 files are named the same. By default, the DVDA presets do not have audio streams so you just need to make sure the MPEG2 and AC3 files have the exact same name (except for the extension, of course)

I find the easiest way to do this is to keep the render template at Mpeg (assuming you’ve done the video first), then click once on the mpeg file. This brings the file name into the name field and when you change the template to AC3, it’s already there for you. The extension changes automatically an no worries about the same spelling, spaces, etc.
