I don’t think EUCON is El Capitan compatible yet. I have no issues with my Artist Panel and Resolve on 10.10.5 and EuControl 3.3.2.

Have you deleted all instances of the CUDA framework from your computer? I have an ATI5870, and after reading Kevin Monahan’s advice I deleted the CUDA driver from my hard drive.

I then tried to start Resolve and it crashed. Restarted my computer and I saw that CUDA driver update message. I then searched my computer, and on my backup drive was a copy of the CUDA driver. So I then deleted that copy of the CUDA driver, deleted Resolve and restarted. The message went away, and a reinstall of Resolve worked.

So check your attached drives – maybe there’s a copy of the CUDA driver lurking somewhere.

Must be something with Eucon 3.0 then, since both 9.1.3 and 9.1.4 don’t work.

I hope it gets fixed, although I really couldn’t notice any difference between 2.7.1 and 3.0.

FWIW Baselight Editions works fine with Eucon 3.0.

Agreed. I just had an issue with my order of MC7 with Symphony Option on the Avid Store. I emailed her, and despite thousands of emails, she took care of my problem promptly.

She is a terrific asset to Avid, and a really nice person too!

Yes, I got that error on an AMA project. I think it’s because the AMA database has lost the links to your media. Try opening your bins one by one. For some reason on my project that forced the database to become refreshed and the clips popped back online.

If that doesn’t work try AMA relinking.

I have an Artist Transport and it works great with 10.0.7 on my MacPro on OS 10.8.2. Is your Eucon software seeing the Transport? Did you try unplugging and replugging in the Transport? Maybe try repairing permissions too.

I’ve found Artist Support to be terrific, so also try them also. I hope one day the Artist panel will work with the color board in X.

  • The version 10.1 driver release specifically includes the ability to force progressive output out of Avid for those (like me) who monitor with a Dreamcolor via HDMI.

Is that capability included in the 10.2 driver release?

Under the project Format tab, I had selected Rec709 for my ColorSpace. I switched to YCbCr709 and the flashing has stopped.

So it was a setting issue. How about that!

Thanks Shane. It does seem to be a video card issue. I have an active Color project on my system also, so I might try the ATI5870, rather than going to the Quadro 4000. I’ve read about issues changing video cards in the middle of a grading project – not a good idea, which makes sense.

The great thing about all the NLE upheaval over the past several months is that you could get some great tools at great prices. The drawback is trying to configure a jack-of-all-trades machine. Each software has it’s own optimal configuration and now the challenge is balancing performance with compatibility.

It’s also entirely possible that my issue will go away with the next MC 6 or Lion update. Not sure I can put up with this flashing video until whenever that is!
