  • Eucon 3.0 and Resolve – does not work

Posted by Verne Mattson on July 3, 2013 at 12:07 pm

I recently upgraded my MacPro from Eucon 2.7.1 to 3.0 and Resolve does not connect with Artist Color. It does not work with either 9.1.3 or 9.1.4.

I then downgraded to Eucon 2.7.1 and all is well – the panel works with both 9.1.3 and 9.1.4.

Has anyone else had an issue with the Artist Color Panel, Eucon 3.0 and Resolve?

    Thanks!

Must be something with Eucon 3.0 then, since both 9.1.3 and 9.1.4 don’t work.

I hope it gets fixed, although I really couldn’t notice any difference between 2.7.1 and 3.0.

FWIW Baselight Editions works fine with Eucon 3.0.

what features does 3.0 add? All i can find is added compatibility with Pro Tools 11.

I’m hoping 3.0 fixes the latency issues I experience with the rings in Resolve (no latency issues with other apps). But I’ve been hoping for that for a few versions now…

If you are talking about the latency on the video out, Smoke has it too.
The Decklink ist just too slow…
i dont see latency on the UI using the pen or the panels
The Decklink introduces half a second…12 frames or so.

    A slice of color…

There seems to be no noticeable delay when using the panel with Apple Color though. So im really hoping that DV10 will have that sorted out.

Same deal – upgraded to 3.0, panel is detected in EuCon, but refuses to connect to Resolve or Redcine X. Downgraded to 2.7.1, re-installed Davinci 9.1.5, repaired permissions and I’m up and running again.

thanks for the update Doug. i’m sticking with 2.7.1 and 9.1.4 Lite until someone has success. I actually just got the full version of 9, but I’m not upgrading until the compatibility with the Artist Color is figured out.

I am having nightmarish problems with eucon and resolve. I am running eucon 2.7.1, and I just updated to resolve lite 9.1.5 Lite. I’m working on a retina MacBook for this job, perhaps that is the problem. Eucon will recognize the board but it simply will not work with resolve. I just used the board all day on another system with no problem, so I know it’s not the board. Any ideas? I’ve tried all configuration of static IP, DHCP, etc, no luck.
