Many thanks for your time and help on this Allen. It seems this camera is not capable of VCR mode. It only has..PLAYER,OFF,CAMERA and PHOTO modes on the main switch.

Thanks. What audio does video stream render?
I can only switch this camera on to Player,Camera or Photo. Is that the problem?.

talkin of frustrated newbies….. just started on vegas 6. love it!!! but can anyone help me adjust my brightness and contrast. at the moment adjustments only appear on right half of preview window. i guess this is for comparison but how do i reset to adjust full picture?
