Well….. tried that, same problem. The effect I’m trying to achieve is very close to the effect in GlenChungs post below…here….

In my case my PiP fly out disappears under an invisble, horizontal line just under the girls eyes…..doesn’t make it right into the corner. -
Pip’s and track motion are in April 2003. Vol 1 Nos 2,3 and 4. Cool slideshow that!.

Dont know if this is of any help……….Ive copied and pasted this reply to a query I had on the Vegas forum……..
Files created in PI need to be rendered. You can export a picture sequence (I use .PNG files for Vegas), with or without the background scene.
Turning off the BG in PI when rendering and saving the alpha channel gives greater flexibility of the PI element in post…you can further adjust transparency, etc. if that element is separate from the BG. -

I originally installed the CD while in the middle of an 11 hour DVD render. A clean install of the software solved it.

Its free for both Personal and commercial use. I dont know if it works with AE (Im sure it must) but I use it with Particle Illusion. Works well -
I guess theres a really good reason for doing your rain effect in AE. Not possible to shoot some rain and superimpose it in vegas?.
