Yes i have restarted… even turned it off overnight … but I’m willing to give it another go… got anything else i can try?

what i would do is use the recolor artwork tool. in cs 4 and 5 it is in the top menu when you have and object selected. it looks like a small color wheel. i would do a google search for recolor artwork tutorials. there is a bunch of them out there.

the bottom line of type is done with a Shear. So what i did was break the Type into two parts. a group of letters “CUST” and another piece “OMZ”. i then used the (selection tool- AKA black Arrow), and selected the CUST letters and then Right Click and when down to transform and then Shear….
once inside this dialog box i make sure to adjust the Shear angle to 30 or what ever angle works… then made sure to check the Vertical Axis button. make sure to take note of the Angle value because you will need reverse this for the other 3 letters, or in other words -30. then hit ok…
please note that once this is done you cant edit the angle… it is locked in. i would suggest keeping a copy of the NON sheared type in case changes are needed.
for the BMS part. i would used Effect / Warp / Lower Arc. this will get you close to the final shape. i would then Expand the Warped type to paths and simply do some fine tuning. Object / Expand.

one more thing to think about… if you are looking at HP,… look at BOXX, i have one at home and i love it… I have windows 7 64 bit installed on it… staying away from 8 until Microsoft gets there act together. it works great.. i work on Macs all day long and then come home to a PC which does get confusing. personally if i had to pick between Boxx and HP… BOXX all the way… look up some drag races between boxx and HD…. you might be shocked.
basically, i would choose the path of these resistance. if you are faster on mac, stay there… putting a different OS in the mix can gets confusing… i have learned to deal with it… again just my two cents..

there is an option in PS,
file/Export/Paths to Illustrator.I’m not sure how you are using these paths. if they are masks or if you are using them as Vector shapes only… i have never needed to do a work flow like this but it might get you a little closer to your goal.

yeh… there are a few things here and there that suck about Illustrator but i guess it depends on what you have been forced to use over the years. i have really come to love AI. But then again i don’t have any experience working with freehand. I wish copy and pasting code would solve the problem. but from what i understand of the program, it is not the most cleanly written code. every version of illustrator seems to get really small improvements … unlike PS or AE who seem to get major overhauls.

the only way i know how to do that is with copy and paste. but you can select multiple point text objects and copy them all at once,[ use shift to select multiple objects].. and then paste those back into a single text area. box There is only one downside. it does NOT put spaces between each point text. But if you add and extra space to the end of each point type that should solve the issue. i know it isnt a single mouse click but it is a fairly simple workaround.
have you tried looking for a script online?
BTW… yes illustrator is unintuitive,… but at least it isn’t InDesign.
