hey, thanks for the help! I did an install, then re-installed cs4 and got it back up and working. All of this in an attempt to get boris fx working in my comp, just for the vignette look. for some reason it doesn’t want to work for me.

hey, i just re-installed and there is no hdv support. when starting a new project there is no option for capture settings besides the DV setting. i just installed it 2 weeks ago and everything was gravy. now there is stuff missing for hdv….it’s driving me crazy

hi, thanks for the walk through. i did all of that, now when i try to open up my project and it asks me where is this file, that file etc. I click on the video file that it is looking for to link up with and i get an error message “unsupported or damaged file”

first sentence i meant to say “uninstalled version 1.5” anyway, i think doing this took out some core components of the program and screwed up cs4. What do you think?

sounds like a work around, how exactly do you do this process? I’m working with 4 files that are large mpeg format. ie. 4 – 1 hour mpeg files. I just chop it up from that, do I need to do an EDL to sync all the time codes up so it set its up on the recapture as an HD project?

i’m going to see what i can do with an upgrade, maybe xp 64 and clean out all my hard drives and see how it goes. but it’s too slow for me to do anything, it will take me 5 times longer to edit a project and it’s not going to pay 5x as much so im not sure what the hell to do. just want to edit at the very least, the same speed as i’m used to. hd sucks!

it was the ‘shadow/highlight’ effect that was causing the crashing of premiere pro cs3, when i tried to render the clip with this effect thats when it would crash.

sweet, thanks for the info…the only downside is not being able to supply handles, i guess i could just stretch each audio file on each end, and just supply a wav or aiff file of each audio track.

interesting, does vegas export AAF or OMF?
