If you’re ideally looking for Transitions, RED is your best bet. Of all our products, it has the most available, hands down. BCC is certainly also a good option as a toolkit, and features a handful of unique transitions such as the Swish Pan and Lens Transition. Both BCC and RED carry upgrade prices of $295 each, and if you were interested in looking into both, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me here and I can look into bundling the two for you.

    Saad-

This all depends on which products you have. Continuum 7, and its associated units for example, should be a free update. Products like earlier versions of Continuum and RED, will require upgrades, however.

Which products in the Boris lineup to you currently own?

    Maya-

As Matt stated above, we do have an inexpensive tool called “AAF Transfer” that will import Final Cut Projects into Media Composer. In addition, we have a free trial of the software that you can find here:

    https://www.borisfx.com/AAF/

It’s good for 14 days, so have a look and let me know what you think!

    Sue-

Floh is correct in assuming the older version you have will experience issues in Snow Leopard. If you are looking to get up and running with 10.6.x, we do have a brand new version of the Media100 software called Suite 1.6 that you can upgrade to. If you’d like to have a look, there’s a trial version of the software up on the website that’s good for 14 days.

If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch directly and I’ll be more than happy to help:

    Allen-

The motion tracking feature of FX doesn’t actually need constant movement to work. It’s extremely helpful in scenarios where there is a set space that needs to be keyed out, but it’s not required.
