Any shotgun mic, the 416 included, is the wrong choice for office and residence interiors.

To see and hear why and to discover a solution to your problem,
    Go to: https://tinyurl.com/d738j
    Open the video folder
Download the Ty Ford Mic Tutorial.mp4 file
Plug in a set of Sony MDR 7506 headphones or playback over really good monitors and enjoy the explanation.

My best guess would be to head over to the Digidesign DUC and see if anyone there had any experience with the plugin.

Try a shakedown cruise in a theater first to get a sense of what that particular system is doing to your sudio.

From there, try to make changes in your own monitoring system to make it give you a more realistic (as in what a theater sounds like) playback.

Are you trying to open it in an Instrument input and not a track input?

Or……maybe it’s time to jump into SoundTrack Pro. The import/export routine since FCP 5.1.1 is a little easier and ther eare a lot of effects in SoundTrack Pro.

If the plugins also are available as AudioSuite plugins, you can try copy/pasting settings you get with one and render the individual tracks with that effect.

You can also mute all tracks but the one you want to mix out as effected and do a mix to disk of that effected track only and then replace the original track.
