The principle of the morph I described is valid for any shapes, whether faces or words. I have used this method numerous times and have gotten great results.

Here’s a simple AE morph description that I posted a while back on this forum:
Use Mesh Warp.
Set 2 layers in a AE comp- the “morph from” layer on top of the “morph to” layer.
Start on the layer you want to morph from- apply Mesh Warp and set keyframe. Move 8 to 15 frames (or as many as you need your morph to be) and change transparency to 50% so that you can see the layer under. Use the mesh warp to distort the features of the top layer to match those of the bottom layer ( eyes to match the eyes, mouth to mouth and so on..).
Apply Mesh Warp to bottom layer and set keyframe at the end of the transition. Go back to the beginning of the transition and use the Mesh Warp to distort the bottom layer to match the top one’s features.
Set transparency keyframes to animate the top layers opacity from 100% to 0 for the length of the morph.
That’s basically it.Tudor “Ted” Jelescu

For further reference, when you upgrade and have the funds to get a really cool plugin that does wonders in AE in 3D space:

make it follow the curved track by building it from shorter pieces that are rotated and positioned in 3d to have their edges meet. It will not be round, but if you use enough pieces and motion blur it could give that impression.

Free Form has 3d distortion tools. You can use that to distort your barrier.

April 13, 2011 at 1:43 pm in reply to: After Effects EXPORT pro res422 hq PROGRESSIVEThe European Broadcasting Union (EBU) prefers to use the resolution and frame rate (not field rate) separated by a slash, as in 1080i/30 and 1080i/25, likewise 480i/30 and 576i/25.[1] Resolutions of 1080i60 or 1080i50 often refers to 1080i/30 or 1080i/25 in EBU notation.
So your 1080i25p probably means that your footage is interlaced, 25fps/50 fields per second.
If progressive is what your final footage needs to be, all you need to do is interpret your footage.Tudor “Ted” Jelescu

Is your source footage interlaced?

If you want a good answer fast then put the time in and give a lot more detail!
What version of AE are you running?
When does the crash occur?
What is the type of project you are trying to render (2d layers only or 3d, what effects involved…).
AE projects on windows should work with no problem on the mac.
Are you sure you have the same version (or higher) of AE as the one the project was made in?
Do you have the latest updates?Tudor “Ted” Jelescu

It depends on how much you need your camera to move around. In the example with the ocean done in FreeForm Pro that I posted previously, the sky background is a simple layer curved by 3d distortion using the same controls as Free Form has, so you where going in the right direction with that.
Using CC Cylinder or CC Sphere with a good 360 sky texture and positioning your camera inside may give you decent results.Tudor “Ted” Jelescu
