The only way you could do what you want to do is to mask out the background in Photoshop or Motion.

Another thing you could try is to select your library and consolidate your library to another folder then delete the projects out that you dont want in there

Grab in the middle of the transition on the two arrows pointing at each other at the end of the clip and drag the clip as long as you want it to be.

I don’t know of a plugin.

Annotation Edit will export to youtube captions and can import from a variety of formats.Also has a transcription Service.
