Setting the output resolution to 1024×768 did the trick!! I was using “original size” and it was outputting to a smaller format.

It looks great now. I can finally breathe again….thanks for your help!!!!!!!

I do believe much of my issue is how my video is rendered. Can someone please share with my their render settings when creating a video that consists of screen capture (remember this will be Camtasia video of a software demo).

I would like to know all of your video settings…such as VBR or CBR, screen/video size, Mb…etc. This will help me greatly.

I don’t understand the “blow it up” comment. You mean pan and crop the screen bigger than what it is? The AVI file already fills the screen in the preview window…

Please elaborate…I feel like a dummy right now and have used this software a long time.

I have already viewed those two links. I am able to get a good AVI file from Camtasia, and I am using the “Reduce Flicker” option.

I watched a few tutorials on YouTube about Camtasia and Vegas…although they were more about creating videos using Camtasia for play on YouTube.

Playing around with the bit rate settings under the Custom menu seemed to help SOME. Can you guys tell me what would be the optimal settings for a Windows Media v9.2 file? Should I use CBR or VBR? 3Mb file or smaller?? There are lots of options there and I feel that this is where I am getting messed up with my poor looking rendered file.

Thanks for everyone’s help with this!
