Jumping in late I know but wanted to add the effect “Auto Color” to the list of effects that disable multiprocess rendering.

Lame, wouldn’t expect an Adobe effect to do that.

Try renaming your source files. I couldn’t figure out the problem with this error message either so i started the general fix attempts. Seems to work fine for me.

The PSd I was using was full of smart objects. I created a new PSD from the build file and rasterized everything. Seems to have fixed the problem.

Kind of similar to the collapse transformations fix but the transformations were in the PSD layers.

Thanks for the input. Hope this helps someone else.

Yes the camera does cover the whole timeline. Currently I am trying to “build” the box at zero seconds and zero frames. I have moved the camera all around the composition and manipulated multiple layers.

  • In Illustrator make sure you have AICB checked ON in the File Handling preferences.

  • Try looking in the animations presets folder in effects. There are a few transitions that are close to what you are asking for already. You can always play with the settings once you apply them and see what you come up with. There is a 3D checker transition for instance that may be a starting point.

Thanks for the help. Turns out it was the difference between switching and cutting. I discovered it when I enabled the keyboard layout for multicam editing. It then enabled me to use the mouse in the viewer to change angles and also to use the numeric keys.

    Thanks!
