Did you read the tutorial I wrote? I had problems too. If not go read it and do word for word, let me know if any step confuses.
By the way it’s at http://www.onetwomany.com/blog

I’ve shot a little of this and wrote up my experience in setting up the frame-rate hack on my blog:
https://onetwomany.com/blog/blog1.php/2009/04/05/hvx-200-frame-rate-hack-and-time-lapse
Personally I’d do it at different frame-rate and speed combinations, overcranking for slowmo whenever you want to bring some intimacy to the viewer and undercranking fast speed for travel on the road.
I agree that you won’t be swapping cards too fast if you are doing a very low framerate though with the frame-rate hack you are basically shooting at 15x speed so a full day of driving is still almost an hour of video.
Using the built in intervalometer, you get get an even speedier image but i wouldn’t use anything much longer than 1fps for any moving camera and even that looks a little choppy for my taste.

September 2, 2009 at 4:47 pm in reply to: Problems with deck link HD extreme and HDMI connectionI did in after effects, it upscaled the image and showed it in the correct aspect. The color was still wrong, however.
I’d love to hear what happens when you move the card to the PC. In fact, i’d try that first, to eliminate the card as the problem. If the problem still occurs in the PC, then you already know you don’t have to buy another video card.

September 2, 2009 at 4:08 pm in reply to: Problems with deck link HD extreme and HDMI connectionI’ll add some pics as well, I think the color issue is the exact same issue. Try an ATi card, I have an nVIDIA card and I think that it’s a better test if you can manage it. Is there an onboard card for macs? Can you just pull the nvidia and test without the accelerated graphics?

Please do let me know. BMD is basically telling me it’s my problem not theirs, so I’d love to hear if you experience a change in the situation by swapping cards. I’m trying to get another card asap so I can prove one way or the other, I really am not trying to point fingers I just want what I paid for to work. It would help my case too to know anything that you find out from this.
Thanks!

My thoughts are that a small run of the hardware is faulty. I bought a brand new card design from them the day it was available. It’s quite possible and quite normal for a new production run.

August 25, 2009 at 8:03 pm in reply to: Problems with deck link HD extreme and HDMI connectionPRAM? No, I’m using a PC and have never updated PRAM. I’m using the newest firmware and drivers. I’ve also reproduced the problem with rollbacks of drivers and firmware. BMD has also reproduced the issue, but seem to be unable to tell me what it is.
