  • Holy crap that worked like a charm. Took forever to pull my sequence in, but it only takes about 15-20 seconds to save now instead of at least 20 minutes! Thanks Tom you’re a life saver!

  • I am cutting a feature in CS6 and have been having this project file size problem. I am up to date and not using any warp stabilizer effects. I am not using Save As all the time either. The only thing I could think of is that it is because the project was originally started in FCP7. It was migrated to CS6 via an xml. It was working great, but I noticed the project file size started to get bigger and bigger. At the moment I am at about 2gb. I am not using really any plugins or effects. Just some 3 way color correctors and a couple looks effects here and there, but probably only 5 or so in the entire film. There are a ton of cuts and tracks. I assume this could be the problem? I have done features in CS5.5 before and never had this many problems. I am going to try the opening it in a new project strategy. I hope this works, because it is taking ATLEAST 30 minutes to save every time and if it pops up with an auto save while I am in the middle of something and I tell it to cancel it tends to freeze the program and I have to force quit and lose everything I had just done. This is NOT acceptable and I have contacted Adobe on this issue on several occasions and not heard anything back from them. If this doesn’t work I am going to try jumping out the window. I will post back with an update as to which route worked.

Im exporting a feature doc omf for my sound mixer. It was coming up with warnings before I would start the export saying that some transitions may not work right, etc. It said that it won’t stop the export but recommended that I replace/remove the problematic transitions. I removed the transitions. No more warnings, but when I start the OMF export it gets a little over 1/3 of the way and stalls. I left for about 3 hours came back and it hand’t move past the 1/3. I see that people seem to be having problems when it comes to long format. Has anyone out there successfully exported a long format/feature omf from Premiere CS6?
