Premeire cs6 Bloating again – Beware when using Warp Stabilization
Posted by Wilbert Thomas on May 18, 2012 at 3:34 pmHey everybody,
I have been experiencing bloating in my PPROcs6 projects when I extensively use Warp Stabilization. My project went from being 60 mb to 1.2GB in size in a matter of of 2-3 hours. Apparently other people in the Adobe.com forums have been having this issue as well.

I’ve been using Warp Stabilizer a lot lately and i’ve not seen any increase in project size. (CS55)But i was using uncompressed originals, that might be a clue.

May 18, 2012 at 4:13 pmThe increase in file size is my actual project (.proj). I didn’t have this problem in CS55, just in CS6

May 18, 2012 at 4:18 pmAdobe is aware of this issue.WS was only available in CS5.5 AE. Now its also available in PrP CS6. That accounts for why its affecting PrP project size now.

The stabilization data (which is stored in the project file) can get pretty big.
I think the best workaround at this point is to do stabilization in a separate project and render out intermediates for import into your main project.

May 18, 2012 at 4:48 pmWould it then be better to do the WS in PPro CS6 or AE CS6?

It might be interesting to try doing stabilization in AE with dynamic link as a way of separating the stabilization data from the edit project without giving it up entirely.
Any volunteers?
