I’m curious as to how you did the “icing”?

Thank you for all your help, the tutorial you put together worked great. I’ve attached a rendering of the model I put together.

Thanks for the walkthrough video! I’ve never used the soft-selection before, very interesting. I think I should be able to get exactly what I’m looking for with a bit of practice.

    Thanks again!

Well apparently I can’t seem to modify the shape you sent me into what I need. When I stretch it around, it just deforms one of the corners.

I’ve attached a file with my keypad layout, with the shapes the way I need them.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thats pretty much what I’m looking for, just a few modifications should get it to where I need it.

Funny how some of the, seemingly, simple objects to model turn out to be the hardest to figure out.

    Thanks a LOT!!

    thanks!

  • It appears that since updating to OSX 10.6.3 the problem is fixed and I can now run C4D in 64bit mode without crashing.

I corresponded with a C4D developer and the problem was with either OSX or the ATI driver according to the crash reports. But again, it seems to be fixed with 10.6.3

I have the same kernel panic with Cinema 4D 11.5 that is being described here.

My system is a MacPro early 2008 2.8ghz quad with an ATI HD3870

This is the only program I’ve used that has caused a panic. Last time it happened I sent the error report to Maxon, have not heard back yet.

You might be better off in the long run going with MacPro hardware. You can buy a “family license” of MacOSX to run it on 5 computers, however, not that I’m encouraging it, but you do not need a serial# for Mac OSX as you do with Windows.

If you have any Windows software that you absolutely need to run, which does not have a Mac counterpart, you can run Windows on the Mac now as well, either within a window in OSX or boot into it.

Just a suggestion, but certainly one to look into.
