Yes I opened it! It sounds a tiny bit “off”, pitchwise. But it’s better than lost sound altogether… probably fixable.

Thanks John! I have a Mac (forgot to mention that in my original post) and I found a solution with X LOSSLESS DECODER (https://tmkk.hp.infoseek.co.jp/xld/index_e.html).

I just solved the problem by saving the TIFF in Motion, as a motion file. Brought that into FCPro and it looks fine on NTSC/DV sequence.

Trial and error!

Hi Tom-

I’m working on FCPro 6.

I created the TIFF files by exporting a still image form FCPro. So, I grabbed a frame from my DV footage, did some work on it in Photoshop, saved as a TIFF (I also tried Jpeg & Bmp, etc), and re-imported the file into FCPro. It shows up looking lovely in the viewer.

The sequence I;m working in is NTSC/DV, which is what I need to work in, I guess, to edit DV.

Any ideas?

Indeed. No method. Decided to trash all media & preferences and redig. For whatever reason seems to be working now.
