What format is your sequence? You’re probably getting the most you can out of the media? Your monitoring of the rendered output is probably too good.

There aren’t any. You need to convert this media to a codec and format supported by the application. You probably should convert to QuickTime using the Apple Intermediate Codec and use a sequence preset that matches that.

What happens when you use MPEG Streamclip? If this was recorded on an SDHC card as standard definition, it most likely cannot be rebuilt without the metadata and the data structure that was on the card.

ClipWrap might help, but we’d need way more information or we’re guessing. What’s the media? Where dud it come from? Something.

Look at the export file from Streamclip in the QT player set to high quality playback. How does it look? Do the same for the export file from FCP. How does that look? Isolate where the degradation is occurring.
