ProRes 422 LT,Prozy- HDV log and capture FCP 7
Advice on HDV-ProRes capture FCP 7
Hi
this maybe a stupid question
Easy Setup Options
I am Capturing HDV 1080i60 Tape footage with (Firewire Sony HDV) into ProRes 422 using the Easy Setup, is there a reason once ProRes 422 (format) is chosen that you only have the the HDV-ProRes 422 1080p24 option to chose from in USE?
When l try the (capture Preset settings) using the Audio/Video set up the only options l have to capture (using ProRes)is 422 standard, 422 HQ and Apple intermediate Codec and all the DV or DVCPRO settings That’s All, l don’t have the ProRes LT, Proxy or 444 is there a reason for this or is my list of settings not up to date it seems very small and few to chose from???
why can’t l use the other ProRes formats?? or see all the other formats as l can with the Sequence settings setup?
The Footage l have captured as a test! using the Easy Set Up format ProRes 422 also seems to have changed the Dimensions-Frame Rate when l CHECK INFO on the Captured file. when l check the file in the Scratch Disk l get a Frame rate of 1920×1080 but the Project Browser file information tells me 1440×1080 any idea on that
the information l get from Scratch disk file direct is
Apple ProRes 422, Linear PCM, Timecode
Color Profile HD (1-1-1)
Dimensions 1920 × 1080and the FCP Browser information Dimensions tell they are at 1440×1080 with the same file.
also color profile at 1-1-1 should it not be 4.2.0 ( could be wrong still learning) s
does any one have information on whats going on with my FCP or am l doing something wrong
thank for the advice in advance
Paul
