    Ty,
Thanks for the reply. Do you understand that what I’m talking about is a cube that the mic is in, not just something propped up behind it? The only side open is where the announcer would be. For a side address, cardioid mic, wouldn’t this arrangement be helpful. With something behind the announcer to asorb sound too, of course.

Check that your images are RGB. Open them in Photoshop, convert, and save. It’s been my experience that pix meant for print won’t show up.

    Shane,

I ran into this problem when I rented an HVX 200 from one place and 64 gig cards from another place. I have a PDF file that explains the process. Send me an e-mail and when I reply I’ll attach the PDF. Send it to tom@asipp.org

Hey! Where’s the thumbwheel? I love the thumbwheel. It reminds me of my late ’70s Marantz receiver that had a tuning thumbwheel. (One of the few things I can remember from the ’70s.) But really, I do like the thumbwheel.

To be a little more specific than Ann, in your source monitor you will see a little icon that looks like a strip of film. Grab that icon and drag it to the timeline. That will only bring the video. Likewise, there is a little speaker horn icon next to the film strip. Grabbing that will only bring the audio.

The two programs are so similar you should pick up Premiere pretty easily. I got Rick Harrington’s book, Premiere Pro for Editors (I think that’s the title). It assumes you already know how to edit–not for beginners. But great for those making the transition IMHO.

A few months ago I installed a “spooky” (freeware) font a client wanted to use. Never could get it to work in the Titler. I ended up making my title in Photoshop instead. Photoshop saw it; Premiere didn’t. Microsoft Word saw it too.

Maybe since it was a spooky font, it was cursed.
