Old FCP Editor new to Premiere
Hi everyone!
I’ve edited for years professionally on a MAC, and on FCP.
I am building a new edit suite (Mac Hardware/Adobe Production Premium software) and I wanted to know if I would be able to record Narrations or voice overs by running my mic through a mixer and then into Blackmagic Intensity, and finally into Premiere.Does this workflow work or do I need to buy an M-Audio box. I’d prefer to have no audio latency during the recording if possible.

Also does anyone have Premiere Pro book recommendations for someone switching from Final Cut Pro?

The two programs are so similar you should pick up Premiere pretty easily. I got Rick Harrington’s book, Premiere Pro for Editors (I think that’s the title). It assumes you already know how to edit–not for beginners. But great for those making the transition IMHO.

That page includes a link to some free chapters from the aforementioned Editor’s Guide to Adobe Premiere Pro, which I think is a great resource. (But I’m biased, since I edited the book.)
