Update to my last post – installed 10.0e and problem has not been fixed – originally reported against 10.0a.

Project typically HDV, Vegas Pro 10.0d 32bit.

Only serious issue (case is open with support) is using BMD Decklink ASIO audio driver.

Undo (either button or Ctl+Z) crashes Vegas 99% of the time. No audio track in project or switching to Windows classic wave or direct mapper driver etc problem goes away.

Seen this many times. I just figured it had something to do with quantization.

To solve, I just expanded/stretched the timeline and dragged the edge of one of the clips back and forth and the issue disappeared.

Dan,
Unless the overheating sensors can be overcome with HDSLRs, they’re pretty much useless in the environments you service.

They can only run for about 10-12 minutes and then need to rest for about the same.

Camcorders, of whatever flavour/brand, are built to be run continuously.

Jim,
A quick question – did you ever try the Vegas pro ‘Device Explorer’ way of importing the clips off the memory card from the HMC-150?

I regularly shoot on 32GB cards and create >4GB clips. The ‘Device Explorer’ can see a card reader and will stitch the clips automatically when importing.

Gilles and I had a very long discussion about this and tested a ‘stitched’ clip ~12GB vs clips just butted up against each other in Vegas and there was a major audio dropout using the second method. None in the stitched, large file.
