So im having a problem with vegas, After im done recording with my HD PVR, (hauppauge)
I want to edit the video with vegas so i open it up and only the upper left corner is showing in the preview display. I tried to render it anyway and it rendered only the top left still. I opened the original file in windows movie maker and it loads fine no problems or when i play it with windows media player everything is fine. Heres a pic.

    Mike,
The first thing I’d try is to match the media and project settings.

    Cheers for now,

In your project, click the “Properties’ icon (top left section of toolbar) and when it opens, click the rightmost icon (in line with “Template”), then select one of the clips from the folder where your project clips are stored.

    Mike,
I looked at teamviewer. Do we both need to have it installed?

I could take a look at your system sometime tomorrow – after 10AM. Email me.

    Hi Mike,

You have your preview set to Full. Right-click on the preview window and select Scale Video to Fit Preview Window. Alternately set your preview to Auto. Either of these should scale the video down for you.
