.wmv files arent that bad for what im using my PVR for im using it for youtube videos and i have uploaded a vidoe on youtube in 720p and its actually quite good quality but anyway thanks for all your help.

Well… I’m 14 and i can figure this out better than professionals can. all you have to do is update your drivers. here’s a video on how to do it. your welcome.

I’m having the same issue, except I need my file format to be MP4 – I need it to play in quicktime without too many issues (and .ts and .m2ts don’t play in qt) – any ideas?

If you are going to edit the footage in Vegas then it doesn’t have to be MP4 going into Vegas, only coming out. So you can capture to .TS and render to .MP4.
