While parked on the still you want to export, go to Export Quicktime Conversion. Go to the pulldown menu and select Still. Go to the next pulldown menu and select the format (jpg, tiff, etc.) you want to export and the destination where you want to save the still and click OK. It will export a still with interlacing intact. You might want to deinterlace in PhotoShop depending on what the still is going to be used for.

I believe that the RAID 0 configuration is not just limited to two drives. I still run an older Ciprico RAID (it just won’t die!) that has five drives configured as RAID 0.

If you’re shooting at 60i, then it is normal to have interlaced footage-by definition. How are you monitoring the output from your computer? You should be looking on it on a broadcast monitor and not just the computer screen. If the field order is correct, it should look OK on the monitor. Also as us old film shooters know, avoid fast pans. 🙂

Not sure about the D650, but on a D750 there is a button right on the front panel for selecting audio I/O. Just push the button until you’ve selected the audio source you need.

The LTC is basically just an audio signal, so a standard video DA will not work for distribution of the LTC signal. An audio DA will work, however. Any converter that can convert balanced to unbalanced audio (ie: A matchbox-type device)should work. A simple RCA to BNC cable would work from the converter. You should be able to put the LTC signal into an audio DA (either balamced or unbalanced) to make multiple outputs to route to your decks/camcorders. You can buy the adapters or you can make your own. Get some BNC crimp-on end kits (a couple of $$ for each one) and by crimping/soldering the ends of the XLR wires to the BNC connectors, make an adapter. It’s been a while since I did one but you take either the +&- wires from the audio line across the two connectors on the BNC plug, or tie one of the signal lines to the ground of the audio line and solder both of them to the shell of the BNC connector and take the other signal line and go to the center pin on the BNC connector. I believe either one will work, but it’s been a while since I needed to do this so you might try one or the other first to see how it works.
If you have professional camcorders with tome code in and out, you might be able to lock one camera to the TC generator and daisy-chain the other camera together.E=MC2+/-2db

You will need a camera of some sort that will provide the component outputs that the chroma keyer in the switcher requires. I’m not sure about the Sony switcher, but most Grass Valley switcher of a similar vintage would also accept Y, R-Y, B-Y component signals from the camera as well as RGB.
You could use a decoder that would convert composite video back to RGB, but the results are likely to be pretty bad when used for the chroma key.

If the wireframe mode is still enabled, display your window in a size smaller than normal. This will allow you to see the handles on the wireframe even if they are outside of the frame edges.

Were the disks ever finalized? If not, they won’t play. You might try to find another Sony DVD camcorder and see if it could possibly be used to finalize the DVD’s. Even if you can’t remember the exact model, another DVD camera MIGHT be able to finalize the disks for playback.
