I have been trying a few things since my post. I can include documents on the disk thru the standard method when you build a disk and that may suite my needs but I am intrigued by your idea of making a button called “PC Features”. When you click on that button, I get the impression that you link an access to other files. In Encore, the only thing that you can link to these buttons is some type of movie or playable content. Is that true? I will await your screen grabs to see exactly what you did. Thanks for your help.

Mark – thanks for that update on this thread. I have a question for you regarding what you spoke about. If I have a Word document with a list of other documents to look at and there are hyperlinks to those files (which would be included on the DVD) and include them in the DVD-ROM menu, will it show all of them in a list or what exactly shows up when you pop the DVD into a drive on a computer? Is it as simple as making a custom menu with one button to the documents and one button to the movie?

Can you point me in the direction of how to do this? I think that you are answering my question. I only want to create a menu and include that menu on the same disk as the video. The menu needs to be very simple. So is that possible?

Maybe I should ask the question backwards. Is it possible to make an Encore movie menu and generate a file and set that off to the side and then build a disk menu and hyperlink it to the Encore movie file? Here is how I would like this to work. Someone would insert a disk and a menu comes up that has a list of documents that would be hyperlinked as well the generated DVD movie. Click on any of the items and it would it would go to that file.

Yes, I did see that you could go down to 1/15 of a second, but what I would like to do is go even further like 1/8 or 1/4. Is that possible?

This seems to be a problem with the AVCHD codec. I see this problem all the time with this camera and have heard others talk about it with other cameras. If this is a problem with this codec, then why hot consider another file format like NTFS. Panasonic has been silent on this problem and I have not heard of a work around. It appears as though the audio frames are not there. I use this camera in long shoots all the time and have been searching for an answer as well.

Thanks for the help. Finally got the sequence down. I will have a chance to play with it today with some editing.

Any other suggestions? I selected them all including the audio and enabled the multicamera editing and still only get one video track full screen in the preview window. I don’t know if it makes a difference but one track is HD wide screen and the other track is SD 4:3 format.

Boris – thanks for the info on the 64 bit solution. I finally was able to figure out how the file was being corrupted. When I did an install with my original CD with Vegas 9, it would install the version 7 into the version 9 folder. Everything worked when I started up Vegas 9. But when I installed the 4.3 update, it corrupted the Boris4.dll file saying that it could not be found and to reinstall with the original CD. I tried that and the same error occured. If I use the 4.3 update by itself, it will install and then it asked me for an unlock code. What proceedure should I use or should I ignore the 4.3 update.

When I did the original installation off the 4.0 CD, it only gave me an option with Vegas 7. I did try to install that but when I fired up Vegas, it gave me an error that the dll file was not installed. Ran the 4.3 update and installed with Vegas 8 as the option, opened up Vegas and had the same error. I am going to try and reinstall everything and see if that will help. Anyone else having this same problem.
