Never mind, I figured it out.

Had to duplicate the sequence, made sure the new one was 16×9, then selected everything and went Right Click > Remove Attributes and selected Distort. Job done.

Yeah, if I were doing anything else they’d be great!

I went with https://www.ehosting.co.uk in the end.

Will check out the COW Video Hosting when I’ve got my showreel together

  • Brilliant, that worked, thanks!

Seems a bit strange that there’s not a ‘drag and drop’ way to do it though…

  • I’ve already got my clips in my sequence, I just want to rejig the order of them. If I lock the tracks then surely it’s not going to preserve my sync on V2 etc?

No idea how they were made, they should be PAL (I’m in the UK).

Will try swapping out the cable to see if that makes any difference. I tested them on my laptop, as well as a different brand/model of DVD player.

Might give this a go: https://www.miraizon.com/products/products.html

The Video input is correctly set to Composite, but the video is still a bit all over the place. Will see if I’ve got an S-Vid cable around here that I can test out.

It’s happening to all the DVDs from one particular Archive House, other DVDs are fine. I’m thinking it’s a problem specific to those DVDs.

The Audio comes through OK, it’s the video that’s the problem. It’s coming in but it’s all over the place, as if it needs a reference signal or something. But it should be fine as I’ve digitized other DVDs with no problem using the exact same method.
