I’m dropping it on top of other clips on V1.

Possibly. But when I place clips on Track V1 I don’t have the problem.

Thanks, it seems to be working now.

I have another problem maybe you can help with.

I’m using footage that was shot with a Sony A7-S at 24fps. I converted it to QuickTime H.264 files. Files are on an external hard rive.

On the timeline, whenever the player head approaches the end of one clip and the beginning of another, the image in the outgoing clip hesitates or stutters just before the transition to the next clip.

I’d appreciate any help you could give. Thanks.

    Thanks.
One more question: Is it the “Directional” blur I want? (There are several blur effects to choose from.)

No it doesn’t give a reason.

Ok thanks. I got it to start the install process, then it says “Installation Failed.” Is it possible I have an incompatible graphics card and that’s why it won’t finish installing? It has an NVIDIA card.
(another computer I have with FCP successfully installed has an ATI card.)

Thanks in advance for any advice.
