I’m trying to copy FCP 7 from one computer to another. I don’t have original discs.
If anyone can give me instructions I’d appreciate it.
    Thanks.

It won’t work properly. There are too many FCP resources that get installed throughout the system. In order for it to work right, you need to install from the original install discs

Ok thanks. I got it to start the install process, then it says “Installation Failed.” Is it possible I have an incompatible graphics card and that’s why it won’t finish installing? It has an NVIDIA card.
(another computer I have with FCP successfully installed has an ATI card.)

Thanks in advance for any advice.

It doesn’t give any reason why the install failed?

    Well THAT’S helpful. Thanks Apple.

What’s the OS of the computer you are installing it on? What about the one that it worked on?

Both are running 10.6.8 with Intel Core 2 processors.
