    FCP 7 unwanted “moire” effect

    I shot on a Canon FX-100 at 50mbs and 60i. When I imported the footage, there is an unwanted wavy pattern or moire effect on all shiny metallic surfaces in the shot.
    Are my settings wrong, or is there another way to correct this?

    Try to add some blur on just the horizontal axis. One pixel’s worth should do it.

    One more question: Is it the “Directional” blur I want? (There are several blur effects to choose from.)
