I did this yesterday and I did not see the same results.
I imported my .veg(s) and everything just came into my project’s explorer after a very long copy. So, everything was there, but in a brand new state, to the extent I would have to redo all my edits, pans, velocity settings, etc. Ergo my posted message.
Am I missing something, or is there another way? Sorry if I’m imbecilic…

No Macs in my house – not gonna happen. I’m a Linux and Windows guy… Windows 10 and a lot of beef for my NLE workstation
Anyway, I did output to AVI Uncompressed YUV 422 10-bit and it did come right in to SVP 13 – you were spot on!
As to the other formats that Resolve outputs, do you know if any of these formats work?

I found, watched and bought the BCC stuff precisely because of that tutorial some months ago. great stuff.
From what I see I guess the issue is the 4:2:0. I am shooting with a Canon 70d, and I don’t know if it’s 4:2:0 or what.
As for lighting, I use 5500k CFL lighting on everything. I have four lights on the screen and have waveformed the lighting such that is as evenly spread as possible. And I have a key light at full power with 4ea 5500k CFL bulbs. I have a fill with 2ea 5500k CFL bulbs and I have a kicker (hair) light that is 1ea 5500k bulb.
Do you think my MAJOR problem is the lighting or the 4:2:0? Or are both major problems?

I have found this thread and perhaps what I need is the original intent of what you were discussing here.
Attached is a still of what I’m dealing with. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to remove the hard edge from the subject/actor in the video taken in front of the GS.
I have used every known trick to the utmost of my ability. I can reduce the hard edge but with the reduction comes the unwanted effect of “choking” too much. No matter what I try I cannot get this to be acceptable.
Do you have any ideas? Thank you!

I have been a NLE user since the beginning as I have with DTP, etc. I have used SVP since v8. I don’t do this for a living and I would submit to you that not all those who use this forum perform A/V for their livelihood either.
One of those days huh? I’ve been in the software industry for 28 years, spending 12 at Microsoft. Afterward, I started, ran and grew a successful software company that made computing resources in the datacenter more easy to manage. I sold that business to a public company after many years.
So because I’ve never heard of the terms you mentioned and had zero inclination to “go search the internet” you come at me like a house-a-fire? Omniscience must be a blessing…
Sir, all you had to do was market those terms with a little finesse. Base marketing is an idea that makes it palatable to include descriptive text when talking about things you can assume not all people are familiar.
Lastly, I’ll use your own logic and say those who are familiar with what you initially posted were already aware to the degree you desired. Therefore your actual post moot.

and what is Izotope? and what are Vinyl and DDLY?

Haven’t had any of those problems and i render MP4 for Internet 1080p.
