Darn, I thought that might be the problem.

I would go for the most recent drivers that support your operating system.

You are right, when I switched from ATI Radeon to Nvidia Quadro 4000 I did install the drivers before replacing the card.

I would call Nvidia tech support at this point.

I tend to relegate any involved camera tracking with Syntheyes so I dont think I will need to upgrade.

Really Ross? Im running AE CS 6.02 and I didnt see evidence of the Camera tracker.

It would help for us to see the clip in order to analyze the problem.

If you are trying to run the camera tracker of a football game where players are running around in the shot, you are not going to get a good track since it gets confused by all the motion. You would need to mask out the moving players.

If the camera is mounted and zooming you have even less of a chance of getting a track. The camera tracker needs parallax to determine the dimensionality of the shot.

But that just a wild guess without seeing what the shot looks like.

For his facility it does seem to be the case.
