I think this statement needs clarification. I am using an external Dulce DQg2 raid that holds 16TB and uses a PCIE connection.It is part of my edit system based around an HP Z820 PC running Win 7. I have no problems at all

Where do you keep your media cache files? They should be on your disk array for fast access just like the media files. Thats how a company that specializes in building and optimizing edit systems did with my PC.

Well I can answer this one.
When I display it with the newest QT (Lion) on my Mac Pro I get the same info as you.
When I display it with QT 7 on my PC I get the info I shared with you.
Another of many reasons why I hate Quicktime. 😀

I recommend Dulce systems. They prepped my raid for use with a PC when I bought it from them last July. Check out their products then give them a call. I found them knowledgeable and extremely helpful.
