It seems that the AE plugin is a very low priority.

Got it! After methodical experimenting I fould if I create a shape with holes within,if I highlight both then use Pathfinder “Divide” I get exactly what I wanted.

Reminds me off when I first bought AE7 and BCC. Lack of displays and crashes all over the place. I became their personal beta tester for 3 MONTHS until they could address all the problems. I think they must be
distracted by the aquisition of Media 100. Their stuff is nice but I feel a certain lack of confidence with there products at “software or hardware upgrades”.

I understand completely and agree, its nice to do all you need in one application. Heres a helpful thought,
the Adobe Production Studio now allows a dynamic link between Premiere and After Effects. Premiere is really just an
editing system. After effects is for doing everything else (fantastic title animations, special effects, keys, etc.)
They are now dynamically linked so its like you are working with one program. When PI3 comes out as a plugin for Adobe,
it might work with both, but if it only works with AE ,it still will feel like you are working with 1 application.
For anyone serious about their editing skills (after 25 years in the business), AE is a good thing to know how to use.
