Particle Illusion 4…any news?
Hi! I’m new here and i work with particle illusion. I read somewhere in an article that there might be a particle illusion 4 in the not too distant future and it might be quite a change in capabilities to version 3. Does anyone have any info, news or even rumous about this?

Here’s what’s in progress, and the probably order of release:
– particleIllusion 3.0.5 for Mac (Universal Binary)
– New Pro Emitters
– particleIllusion 3.0.2 for Windows (with enhanced movie support)
– pIllusion AE
– particleIllusion 3.5

Is Particle Illusion AE a separate product from the stand-alone Particle Illusion?

Mac 3.0.5 should be Feb release. New Pro Emitters should be Feb too. Win 3.0.2 is hopefully March. The rest is TBD (to be determined).

I’m a mac (intel) user, if I buy the new particleillusion (3.0.5) when it will be available, does the 3.5 upgrade will be free ?

No, the 3.5 upgrade will be a paid upgrade. It will have many, many new features. It is at least 6 months away though.
Our upgrades are not expensive — the 3.5 upgrade will most likely be less than $100.

It seems that the AE plugin is a very low priority.
