February 8, 2007 at 4:32 pmIt may seem like that, but it’s technical issues that have prevented its release, not lack of priority.

February 13, 2007 at 10:34 pmRe: The AE plugin. If it’s not giving too much away, or committing to too much in advance, is your plan to keep the pI3 UI as part of the parameter setup in AE? Or are you planning to overhaul the interface to make it more like AE?
For example, Color Finesse has a simplified, AE-looking interface for adjusting parameters, but CF also has its own UI that opens up on demand from inside AE.

February 13, 2007 at 10:47 pmIt will fit the AE UI.
It’s been our intent all along NOT to put the entire pIllusion interface into the plug-in, but provide access to the “most-used” upper-level parameters, at least in the first version of the plug-in.
So, you’ll be able to adjust “zoom”, “size”, “velocity”, etc. for each emitter, but not for each particle type. You also won’t be able to adjust other particle-level settings like reference point, color gradient (and all of the other color options), etc.
The idea is to make the huge pI3 library accessible within AE, and not overwhelm users.

February 14, 2007 at 8:36 pmAlan, does that mean we current particle illusion customers will have to buy a separate product license for pIllusion AE or will it just be an upgrade? or can we trade-in/crossgrade?
If I had pillusion AE, I have no reason to use the pillusion I have now. It is far more convenient for me and my workflow to use the AE plug-in instead of the stand-alone.
