Alex, I may be missing something in why you are doing what you are doing, but here goes.
Its my understanding you can tell AE to include XMP information with the rendered movie. So when I render and export a movie from AE, then import it into PrP and drop it on the timeline, if I want to make changes in that movie at some time I just select “Edit Original” and it knows which AE project to open from that XMP data included in the movie.
Well , even if I misinterpreted your work flow, this is still a good thing to know when using PrP and AE in tandem. 😀

Adobe is aware of this issue.WS was only available in CS5.5 AE. Now its also available in PrP CS6. That accounts for why its affecting PrP project size now.

In most cases rendering and exporting from AE is the best way to go. AE renders its projects faster (especially using the Multiprocessor option) then PrP does.

They have a transition effect that you drop on the timeline at the intersection of 2 clips.Then you open the GUI and select or build the effects you want. Go to these 2 links to learn more.

[Cassidy Clawson] “I just purchased Colorista II and love it.
However, the secondary keyer rarely works. It loads blank frames without previews. Totally useless.
Previous version with CS5.5 had this problem. I now have CS6 with MB 11.3.2.
In some projects (small projects) the keyer will load but it will show the wrong frame. It seems to show a frame approx 1 sec ahead of the playhead.
I have a 2011 MBP with Lion. I really, really want Colorista to work for me but this is kind of a deal breaker. Is anyone else having this problem? I can’t find much info on the web.”
