Actually, there’s no .wmv file…otherwise I would have just done it that way.
I ended up changing the .dav file extension to .mpg and it opened in premiere.

I’m just finishing a project with the same scenario you’re facing. Here’s what I did:Track 1 had the audio from the wireless mic and Track 2 was from the camera (at a distance, but still picking up some of the audio).
To start, I processed track 1’s audio in Adobe Audition and muted the audio until the point where I wanted the sound to begin. Then, I watched track 2 with boosted audio levels until I found the same beginning. Since I was only going to use the audio from track 1, I could do whatever I wanted with track 2’s audio. So I processed track 2’s audio in Adobe Audition…noise elimination, normalizing, boosting, etc. until I had the best audio to listen to. Finding the same audio, I muted (don’t delete) the sound up until that point. Close both files in Adobe Audition, then return to Premiere.
Back in Premiere, I’d mute the audio from track 2 and shut off the layer 1 video, zooming in as much as possible. Matching the audio waves by site (after the flat mute, it’s pretty easy to see), I’d watch track 2 and listen to track 1 audio. You can visually see if they match.
If they don’t match, fine tune like Phocas suggested and you should be matched up in a short amount of time.
I’ve also zoomed into the mouth before and slow played the audio to see if they match…works pretty good (in fact, I can tell which camera was used from a distance…Cannon seems sharpest to me…even a home video camera vs. a 3 chip).

THANK YOU. I was almost sure I got this from you a year or two ago…but wasn’t confident enough to ask!I like the safe frames in Premiere, but when I add in the overlay, it makes the image uniform for all end users.
THANKS again!

Renaming the .vob files to .mpg has worked pretty good…how much of an improvement would one see if you did the DVD to camera to PC dub that phocas kroon suggests?

I have a line of tractors that is driving by…since the camera was on a mount, it works well to loop the handful of colors I had…makes it look like a continuous tractor parade (our ride is with over 300 tractors).
I’ve come up with a “poor man’s fix,” as I created the loop myself on top of the entire music bed. (the music bed didn’t have a natural spot to loop itself)

I did the easy way out…creating a loop myself with the audio bed underneath…it’s a longer file that way, but it loops and works since the audio and the video are the same length.

Okay…got the video (:23.5 second long) to loop…but now the audio loop begins again, too. Hmmm…it seems like that’s almost a step back.

I have the Loop #: set at Forever, but it only plays the motion video 1 time when I go to preview…
Getting closer…

I’ve done that, but it’s still only playing 1 time. How do I keep it looping?

The audio loops like it should…the video doesn’t. What do I need to change?
Thanks!
