Probably, but it is conceivable that it won’t or that the current version hardware will not work with the Apple USB3 chipset and that blackmagic will do a hardware change when they release the Apple USB3 drivers.
With Blackmagic stuff it is always best to wait until the features you want are actually confirmed as working, if you buy stuff now with the hope of some future update making it work then your likely to get burnt.
Blackmagic make all their hardware in very small batches, this allows them to easily make subtle changes to the hardware to enable new features (for example the hyperdeck shuttle 1 could not do DNxHD, they quietly updated the hardware and released the hyperdeck shuttle 2 when the compressed recording option was rolled out)

That is not an X55 or X58 chipset MB – however it might work anyway. Really you cannot tell without trying it.
As time goes on more and more chipsets should work with the shuttle.
If you want to get an X58 chipset you can find the list of gigabyte MB with this chipset at https://www.gigabyte.com/products/list.aspx?s=42&jid=1&p=2&v=1

Don’t believe the really out of date info on the BMD website – the NEC only remarks were to do with internal system architecture on early USB3 motherboards. People have the intensity working on quite a lot of systems including laptops so i would not believe what the blackmagic website says on the topic.

If they don’t then proceed to getting the USB plug in card to work properly.
Take it out and put it back in, ensuring you use a 4x minimum PCIe slot (one of the long slots, either the black one or the grey one – it wil not work at USB3 speed in any of the short PCIe slots)After replugging the card reinstall the driver.
If it still doesn’t work then try to upgrade the MB bios and then install the latest chipset drivers.

hmm
are you in a proper 16:9 project / sequence in PP?I’m (kind of) surprised it works in AVID but not Premiere, I suspect you may find a switch to set the anamorphic flag somewhere in the settings (i have zero idea where though, I gave up on premiere at version 5 – about 10 years ago!)

It’s confusing everyone having 2 names! I won’t bore you with the conversation again as we covered it all on atemuser.com

Or that they read RS422 on the Hyperdeck spec and listed it as a controllable device!
Who knows? It *might* work, but I wouldn’t spend out without testing it first. If they tested it pre NAB then it was probably tested on the original firmware – IIRC this supported the basic play / stop / jog / shuttle commands but not jump to timecode.
What are you actually wanting to use it for? You can find RS422 deck controllers on ebay for peanuts – the protocol has been the same since Beta SP (or before even?) so any old controller *should* work if / when BMD sort out the issues with the protocol support on the Hyperdeck.

Where did you read that the JLCooper remote works with the hyperdeck?
If you want to control multiple decks you need a multiple deck controller such as the https://www.jlcooper.com/_php/product.php?prod=es450sp2
I would be hesitant to spend money on this without checking it works properly first. The original firmware for the hyperdecks provided some limited RS422 controls, this was broken by the DNxHD update, the ProRes update partially fixed some of the issues but it is still not working 100% properly.
Maybe when the Hyperdeck Pro comes out there will be another update with proper RS422 support?

That is your opinion and one which i disagree with.
You purchased a capture card which cannot capture many formats of video, if you want to capture one or other of these formats which your current card doesn’t support then you should either buy a scaler to convert to a format which your capture card supports or buy a different capture card.
Why do you want to capture old computer games footage anyway? You have no legal rights to use the footage from computer games in any production. Even uploading to youtube is illegal, so i don’t see the purpose in this.
