I have been in contact with Blackmagic support and with sufficient demand and sales figures being there, Blackmagic will enable 240p support on its products. I made a petition to get the ball rolling.

The aim of this petition is to show Blackmagic Design that there is sufficient demand for retro console support (SNES, Genesis, N64) on its products. Too long have owners of these products had to make compromises in purchasing expensive scalers to record these consoles. The Intensity products are capable of displaying 240p: https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/124/877793

I would appreciate if you would sign it and pass it on to relevant friends who could benefit from this, thank you.

why not just run your old games systems through some kind of scaler which can output proper NTSC? Personally I’d rather see the time and money spent on fixing the HD bugs than wasted supporting capture of old games (which you have no legal right to capture anyway!)

    HD bugs?

Anyway, we should not have to purchase expensive scalers when the thread I linked to shows it can be done.

That is your opinion and one which i disagree with.

You purchased a capture card which cannot capture many formats of video, if you want to capture one or other of these formats which your current card doesn’t support then you should either buy a scaler to convert to a format which your capture card supports or buy a different capture card.

Why do you want to capture old computer games footage anyway? You have no legal rights to use the footage from computer games in any production. Even uploading to youtube is illegal, so i don’t see the purpose in this.
