Nope, they do have reel numbers.

I think i figured it out, though I dont really know what i did right.

This sequence had 5 parts, and i had created a new sequence for each part, and was trying to do the media manager from those new 5 sequences. For some reason, that didn’t work.

I did a media manager of the original sequence and it worked perfectly. Now I dont have a single clip over 1 minute, though there’s a lot of duplicate clips in my new bin. Dont know what that might be about. Im guessing it’s from clips that were used in more than one edit throughout the sequence, though they are all the same length and same in/out points…

Oh well, it’s working so i’ll just get to it. I’d love it if someone could de-mistify this thing though.

The scale them using parenting would have worked if it were just a scaling issue, but there’s the spacial issue as well, both in X and Y planes. I guess there’s some way to use math and expressions and parenting to make AE calculate were each clip should be, but it was easier to just do it from scratch.

The “turn them into 3D layers and push the camera in” would have worked great, but they already are 3D, and have a camera panning through them.

Thanks a ton for the quick response. I’ll have compressor churn out all the clips at 23,976 (and yeah, i was saying 23,98 as in the nickname, not an actual usable frame rate).
