Resolved it. The metadata setting was turned off in the export setting.

Thanks for the quick response, guys.

The clip is 1280×720, Prores Proxy, 23.98.

The EDL has the correct filename and there is nothing off with the timecode from what I can see. I’m going to try transcoding out of Media Encoder and see what happens that way. If you have any other suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

I meant to say that the toggle works as it should but even with it on, the clip acts as if it is turned off.

A/V comes from same source.

I agree that although its one file, it shouldn’t be too big of a deal. It’s the not knowing why its acting like that I am more curious about. I can work around it, of course. Just trying to figure out the reasoning behind it

Thanks for the response, Jeff. The toggle switch works fine because the clips to the left are linked as well as the clips to the right. I had thought it might have been a frame rate issue as the individual clip was at 59.94 while the others were at 23.98/ However, I brought another 59.94 clip in and it linked just fine in the sequence. Its something about this clip that is wonky and not sure what it is since the others in its batch are fine.

Yea, I am very used to doing that from FCP 7. Unlink audio from its source video and relink a completely separate audio file so they are “linked” together without having to create a new clip.

Oh well. Hopefully it will get added along the way. Thanks for the assistance.

Its a .grp file that was not “autosync”d prior to creating the group file.

Thanks for the quick response, Michael.

They are not from the same source. I had to sync up the video to a different audio source. I haven’t worked in MC since v5, but I thought there was a way to “trick” the system into thinking they are “bound” together in the timeline without creating a group clip or new clip out of it. If not, then so be it.

Michael-

I cant find REFORMAT under the Image effects

Reformat has its own grouping, but SUBDIVIDE is not under there.

Can you provide a bit more direction as to where this effect lives?
