Sounds like you may have been working as trial version. You can open up PS, go to help menu, and you can go through activation and registration. Not sure if that allows you to input a serial number or if you need to reinstall to do that.

Looks to me like the 2407 is an older model that Dell isn’t selling anymore – at least not that I could find on Dell.com. The 2408 is a nice 24″ WS flat panel.

I think this is a station-by-station type question. Some of the stations I work with are able to do this (I have actually gotten an email from one station in Indianapolis with requirements for doing ftp specifically), many will specify DG system for electronic delivery, while yet other stations specify tape.

You can skimp on the memory from Apple and purchase it elsewhere at a better price. That goes for HDDs as well.

I just found what I had read, it was a GenArts Sapphire plugin that simulated a camera defocus. But a depth of field camera defocus can be achieved. http://www.genarts.com. There is a 3-week trial for the plugin package, so you can try it before you buy it.

Yes. With an Outer Glow layer style you can achieve the same thing. You can also add a stroke if you choose.

Finally got it. Kind of a pain in the @$$, but it will do. Don’t know why the guides won’t just snap to center anymore. But, in case anyone else can’t figure it out, select the entire layer then click the align vertical centers and align horizontal centers buttons. They aren’t selectable any other way. Doesn’t seem too obvious…
Unless, of course, someone has a better way of getting things centered. I’d be interested in hearing it.

Assming your on a PC… Right-click on your desktop, go to properties – settings – Click on the graphical #1 to see if it is set as your default monitor. Click on 2 and deselect Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor (if selected).
