Finally had a chance to get back here.

No, I am positive the aspect ratio is 4:3 for the source. No doubt about that. And yes. I am using the 4:3 aspect in AME. The black bar top and bottom looks to be only a few pixels each. It doesn’t show within safe action – just about at safe action though.

I am using WMP, VLC, and my editor to view the finished files. All show the same problem.

I think I just read about something like this in the Creative Cow Magazine. ToolsOnAir or something. Uses a Mac and AJA or Blackmagic card. SD/HD.
Not sure if it does everything your looking for or not, but certainly worth checking into if you want to stay Mac-based and not go with Windows.

Sarcasm aside… Don’t you worry your little head about the exact one, I’m not asking for that. I’m looking for ANY sites that you may use and like – not cheesy, like many. I may have found the one I wanted at Video Hive, but it was lame.
    Thanks! TC

Many of the stations I deal with have given me different specs for what they want – most are QT or mpeg-2. You will be best checking with the stations you deal with.

Thanks for the info Paul! I will have to look into some other options a little more before deciding.

Try Gnome Partition Editor – https://gparted.sourceforge.net/index.php

It can partition for pretty much anything.

It’s made for Linux, but if you are using Windows, you can use GParted Live off of a CD or Thumb drive.

Let us know how it works out for you.
    Good Luck!

Duplicate the layer and work on the new layer, not the background layer. This will also keep your original layer intact in case you need to go back to it.

Thanks David! Not sure why running a search on C: for the name of a preset didn’t come up with them. But I’ve got them now. TC

Well, Adobe is always a good source.
If you want discount software, you could try http://www.softwaresurplus.com – I haven’t used them but I know people that have and been satisfied.
