Get MediaInfo and post what your complete specs of the recorded video (container/codec, Frame Rate and whether it’s constant or variable) and audio (bit rate), and also post what your sequence settings are?

So you are using PPro Capture to record your audio clips? You have a little window in Capture to select where you record them to. It’s been a while since I’ve used Capture (I tend to use Audition), but I think if you use something like 001 at the end of the file name, it will increment to 002 and so forth, but like I said, it was a long time ago.

As far as sequences and nested sequences, those are only contained within your project file. So you can’t just move a sequence around at the finder level.

OK. From what I see there could be some issues. One is the RAM. 8GB is minimum for PPro, 16GB if editing HD and 32GB if 4k. https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/system-requirements.html
Another is editing off a single drive. Don’t know what drive it is, but that can slow things down depending on if it’s a spinning disk (5400 or 7200 rpm) and connection type. Even some SSDs can be slow for video editing.
And lastly, is the HD and 4K footage something like h264? There are certain codecs, like h264, that are more difficult to edit than others. You may want to try a proxy workflow to see if that will help.

Also, how large are the drives and how much free space left on them..

I usually use AE for that stuff. But I think in your Transform effect, change the Anchor Point – if HD sequence, try 960 x 540. Then position into place and try your Scale again. Although, it’s very sketchy in how it works. Especially if you change your Shuttle Angle afterwards.
If you just slide from top/bottom, or sides, I usually just add a blur in that direction to fake the motion blur.

I assume you mean text goes from large to small? That would just be Scale in your Effects panel. Add a Scale keyframe where you want the zoom to end and go to where you want it to start and add a ridiculous amount of scale. Your text should now zoom.
