Not sure what codec may be in your AVI file, but you could always try converting them to h264 with Handbrake.

Standard video controls will show on all your video clips in your Effect Controls panel. You will need to add Effects for them to show on your video clip. Under the Window file menu, you should be able to see an option for “Effects”. Choose it and your Effects panel should open up. Add Audio/Video effects and transitions to the clips in your sequence as you like.
And keep watching those tutorials! You may want to try these: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfzAdXeniYhIGlFndHYPiYg/playlists?disable_polymer=1Good Luck!

I should mention, you may need to Invert it as well. 🙂

Yes. You can mask out the area. Place your video without the object on layer 1. Place your video with the object on layer 2. Select layer 2. In your Effect Controls panel, you will find a pen tool below the Opacity. Draw your area you want to cut out. Feather options to suit.
Good Luck!

Don’t do maximum everything. Turn off “Use Maximum Render Quality”. Use 2 pass VBR.

So, just so I got this straight, you are talking about an export render to h.264 mp4 file, correct? Couple of things. Are you turning on the “Use Maximum Render Quality”? Unless you are scaling your sequence, I wouldn’t worry about having that on. And have you tried changing the renderer in AME to Software Only? If you’re using AME, there’s a drop down below your Queue. Sometimes that can clear up render issues for some reason.

June 10, 2020 at 7:25 pm in reply to: Premiere freezes when moving clips on a sequenceI’ll say, I’m working from home right now and am discovering how glitchy the newer CC can be on my home system – Win10 Pro, i7 4Ghz, 32GB RAM, GeForce GTX1050. Granted, it is my home system and has a ton of other stuff on it that my work Mac does not, but there have been strange things happening now and then. LOL. I’m thinking I should have started a new user account just for working.
Did you try blowing out your preferences? Preferences from an older version don’t always come into the newer version too well.
And, If you still have issues, and you are able to, you might consider using the older version of CC on that computer. It could just be struggling with the newer CC version.

If it’s telling you there’s a problem with that video driver, and you can disable and use the other, I would give it a shot. I will say, the new PPro CC is pretty resource intensive. I question how well that laptop will work with it.
You can always see if there are updates to the video drivers to work a little better with the new PPro.
