Yeah daylight loads, hmmm, I was known as eyemo boy in my early days as a camera assistant. I was fast at changing the 100ft daylight loads in eyemo cameras for stunt work.
Just keep the roll as tight as you can when loading, avoid direct sunlight, maybe a bit of black over you and the camera if in desert or other bright areas.
Make sure your hands are dry, not sweaty, and roll off a couple of seconds before. You should be ok. don’t ever add leader though. They do that in processing.
    Good luck.

Apparently there are more cameras shipping than p2 cards. I’ve been told I can get a camera this week but, without p2 cards.
And no word on when they will be delivered. It seems like an obstacle course just trying to get use this system.

  • Hi Bob,

I am not knowledgeable about your experiences with steadicam jr, but I can say that it is a different world as you step up the ladder toward a full
strength steadicam. There are some camera houses out there that might have larger rigs, however, I am not sure who they are.
I beleive PRO, Paddock radical options, in the LA valley rent out steadicam rigs. They may only rent out to steadicam operators whose rigs are being serviced. I don’t know, but you can check them out. I know there are some steadicam sites out there for operators who can guide you into rentals and courses and so on. May your back be with you.

Interesting. I was thinking of making the upgrade to Tiger as well.
Could you please outline the workflow of transferring a project?

    thanks,

Well, Steve I personally believe that you are onto something. I think we are hesitant to share too much information here, for fear of the government listening to our conversations and tips and taking our experience and giving it to Haliburton to make a feature film. Hmmm, I think I’ve come up with a story for my next project.

    cheers,

January 9, 2006 at 2:10 pm in reply to: Mattebox for HVX200

Good question. according to abelcine in LA , chroizel may be coming up with a new mattebox for this camera. It will probably take advantage of the 16×9 native format of the camera. I personally hope it comes with 4×5.6 trays so I can use the 4×5.6 filters I already have. I understand the follow focus system will be the same. Check in with 16×9 inc as they are the chroizel distributor.
